Setting up your new Solar Sparrow is quick, smooth, and best done with a friend. This rider-first guide walks you through every step to ensure your ebike is assembled safely and ready to ride.
Whether this is your first ebike or your fifth, we’ll make sure nothing is left out—so you can get moving confidently and comfortably.
🛠️ What’s in the Box
After unboxing your Solar Sparrow, you should have:

Pro Tip: Be sure to remove all zip ties and packaging clips carefully. Keep an eye on any spacers or cone nuts that may fall off in the process.
🧰 Handlebar Setup

Use the 4mm Allen wrench to loosen all four stem bolts.

Install the handlebar and screw the bolts back in, but don’t tighten fully yet—we’ll adjust this later.
🚲 Installing the Front Wheel

Remove the front fork axle using the 5mm Allen wrench.

Take out the disc brake spacer from the front caliper.
-
Have a friend lift the front of the bike as you line up the front wheel.

Slide in the axle and tighten it securely.
🛞 Front Fender Installation

Kick out the kickstand to stabilize the bike.
-
Remove the bolt behind the front fork using a 4mm wrench.

Funnel the fender in between the fork and front tire.
-
Hand-tighten the center bolt, then remove the fork bolts on both sides.

Align the fender arms to the fork mounts and re-tighten everything.

Double-check that the fender sits evenly and securely.
🚴♀️ Pedal Installation

Left Pedal: Turn counterclockwise to install (opposite direction of pedaling).

Right Pedal: Turn clockwise to install.

Use a 15mm wrench to fully tighten both pedals.
🔆 Mounting the Front Light

Loop the light mount around the handlebar.

Tighten it using a 3mm Allen wrench.

Locate the cable with a red tip, align the pins, and press until you hear a click.
📏 Adjusting the Handlebar Position

Loosen the bolt on the stem’s side with your 5mm Allen wrench.

Rotate the handlebar to your preferred angle.
-
Re-tighten the bolt, then tighten all four stem bolts evenly.

Snap the stem bolt cover into place.
📱 SP Connect Mount Setup

Remove the rubber cover on top of the stem.
-
Using the 4mm wrench, secure the SP Connect mount.

This mount works with all SP Connect accessories, including compatible phone cases.
