How to Fix Buzzing Noises on Your Euphree Bike
Follow this video and step-by-step guide to identify and eliminate unwanted buzzing from your fender, rear light, or caliper.
Step 1: Determining Where the Buzzing is Coming From
Use a bike stand if available. If not, you can tip the bike onto its kickstand. Carefully test each of the following:
- Check the rear fender. Spin the wheel to confirm if the fender is touching the tire. Bend it slightly away if needed.
-
Test the fender by hand.
- Hold the top of the fender near the bolts, then spin the wheel with the throttle.
- Hold the fender-stay arms near the frame on both sides.
- Hold the side of the fender near the crank.
⚠️ Always keep your fingers away from the spinning wheel.
- Check the rear light. Grip the light housing while spinning the wheel to see if the buzzing stops.
- Check the rear caliper. Gently grip the caliper and spin the wheel. Take note if the buzzing disappears.
Step 2: Fixing the Buzzing
Once you’ve identified the source, tighten the bolts in the correct area.
Rear Fender
- Top bolts: Tighten the bolts on top of the fender with an Allen wrench.
- Fender-stay bolts: Tighten the bolts near the frame on both sides.
- Side bolts: Tighten the bolts near the crank.
Rear Light
If the light was the issue, tighten the bolts on its casing.
Rear Caliper
If the caliper was the source, tighten the caliper bolts securely.
