Great bike! I got the mid step primarily because I ride off road quite a bit on trails. Nothing crazy, but I like having the top tube. I’m 5’7, so I’m pushing the limit on minimum height when it comes to the step over version. But it’s not a problem.
This bike so far has been exceptional. I own several e-bikes and this is by far the best I’ve owned. The bikes I have are from well known companies and are priced near this one. But, this Euphree Stellar Falcon has better features and I think you get a lot for your money.
First, every other bike I own has clearly visible welds. There are none on the Euphree bikes. Suspension seat post is a must, and it comes from Euphree already installed. I have them on all our bikes and they are around $120. The finish on the bike is stellar (see what I did there), and the cable management is well thought out and very clean looking. The tires are great, very grippy but not real noisy. The display is really nice, and better than any on my other bikes, and very intuitive. And the attention to detail, like the cover plate on the front mount is a nice touch.
For me though, there are two main features that really helped me make up my mind. First, I’m tired of “fat bikes” with 4” wide tires. I wanted something more nimble and I think the 2.8” tires are the sweet spot. I’m keeping my fat bikes, but those will be for winter riding. Second, the option to switch between torque and cadence sensor. I’ve always had cadence sensors so a torque sensor is new to me. Well, I really like it and that’s all I really use now. I get a better workout and burn more calories. So to me, if I want to ride, I’ll have it set to torque. If I want to cruise and just enjoy the scenery, I’ll use the cadence sensor. There’s no right or wrong, but having the option of both opens the doors for a variety of people who may prefer one over the other. Of if you are sharing the bike with a family member but have different riding styles. Some people with bad knees for instance may prefer a cadence sensor.
Overall, this is a Stellar bike. Great quality and components, such as air shocks with 110mm of travel, versus many others that only offer 60 or 80, till you get into the higher priced bikes. The bikes are feature rich and are backed by great customer service. I’ve messaged them a few times regarding something minor and they were really helpful and quick to respond. I’m very happy with Euphree and feel I made a great purchasing decision. If you have a bike shop that sells Euphree in your area, check them out. I bought online and did the assembly, which is easy and there’s YouTube vids that walk you through the steps.
Best wishes and happy riding.
