Swapping a Crank Arm on Your Euphree Bike
If you ever need to replace a crank arm on your Euphree electric bike, this guide walks you through it step by step. While not common, it’s good to know how to do it properly at home. This guide is safe, easy, and ideal for older riders who value comfort and self-sufficiency.
What You’ll Need
- Crank puller tool
- Allen wrench
- Grease
- Torque wrench (optional, but recommended)
Step 1: Remove the Old Crank
- Shift the chain off the crank and rest it on the rear cassette. No need to fully remove it.
- Use an Allen wrench to remove the center bolt from the crank arm.
- Thread the crank puller tool securely into the crank arm.
- Tighten the crank puller to slowly push the crank off the spindle using steady pressure.
- Once it pops off, remove the crank puller.
Step 2: Install the New Crank
- Apply a small amount of grease to the outside of the spindle. Avoid getting it inside.
- Align the new crank so it’s opposite the other arm and slide it onto the spindle.
- Insert and tighten the center bolt. Use a torque wrench for the most secure fit.
- Reposition the chain on the crank once installation is complete.
